Disparity: the 1911 census entry shows Francis as "Single" when he was married in 1907 which 'may' be a clerical error as the high probability is that these documents refer to the same person (Francis is not a particularly typical name with Dowling, born in Callan, age approximately correct and same as given in 1901 census). He is also in a different regiment to the one joined in 1904 but this may not be necessarily be incorrect as transfers were common. While it appears probable that this Francis transferred from the Royal Irish Regiment to the Royal Dublin Fusiliers there appears to be two Francis Dowlings in the Fusiliers at the time and documentation is needed to distinguish the two.

Note: Francis Dowling (49919) may be identical with Francis Dowling (35155).
