Thank you for the forthcoming certificate and the attached census records!
Agnes was born a Mclaughlin but when she was small her mother died. Apparently, they were a large family and the father parceled the children out to relatives. Agnes was sent to live with her aunt who was married to a Devlin. We were never sure if the Devlins adopted her. I guess not, looking at the census records. I didn’t know her father, Hugh, was still in the picture. Looking at the census data its funny how Agnes’age changes-she was several years older than Patrick.
Also, the data says Patrick immigrated in 1911 but the manifest I have is from 1913. I’ll have to look at 1911. His older brother William followed the next year in 1914.
