Note: The current working assumption here, that makes sense in the circumstances, is that Darby Morrissey and Jeremy Morrissey are identical. Darby is an interesting firstname, sometimes clearly designated in documents as a unique name, but also used as another word for 'Dear', so, possibly a term of endearment that endured. Jeremy itself is a derivative of Jeremiah. There is no marriage for Darby to Bridget Hanrahan but one for Jeremy; the children of Jeremy are baptised and then the ones for Darby follow-on sequentially; the use of the name Darby starts in 1817 with Ellen. An important factor in this hypothesis is that, in parish records, Jeremy and Darby do not appear at the same time, i.e. both having children in the same year. Further confirmation facts would be preferred.
