O. Smith and member of Friendship United Baptist Church and Graham Lodge #208 F & A M. He was a son of the late Homer Buren Doolin and Lula Katherine Hinton Doolin.

He is survived his wife: Joyce Long Doolin, Scottsville, KY;

1 niece: DeLynda Brown and husband, Joseph, Scottsville, KY;
