I will attach to this email Mary Dowlings family which is my line Cornelius Franklin and Mary are my great-great-grandparents. I don’t have a death for Mary I am of the belief she died between 1842 when my great-grandmother Mary Theresa was born and 1853 when her eldest daughter Elizabeth married, as civil registration was not compulsory in Australia until 1856 there is no death registration for her. I still have a feeling (although I no feelings don’t count when doing family history) that Mary was Maria b 1802 because this family was very Catholic and Mary is Maria in Latin which would have been their religious dialect, and it seems strange that we seem to be able to find baptism for all the other children but not Mary. I have more information on this family’s children however thought it too big to send all at once, however if you would like more information I would be happy to send it to you.
