Being 5 days apart this would indicate that they are not twins (but of course these are baptism dates not birth dates so they could be twins where, possibly, Alice was too ill to be baptised on the same day?). If the two are not sisters then there are two Tom Dowlings fathering children in the same parish.

My father was Francis Timothy Dowling. He was born in Bayonne Nj July 29, 1926. He died February 10th 1998. My mother was Elizabeth Hoagland born in Bayonne NJ 8/01/35. She died 9/20/90. Jeremia Dowling was my my great-great grandfather who married Bridget Murphy. His son Patrick born 1852, Arless, county Laois was my great-grandfather. Before 1866, they moved to Dublin where Patrick was an indentured servant to Andrew Wrenn. He owned 4 grocery businesses. From what I’ve found out, they were Guinness distributors. I found the original contract. What I would love to know about are Jeremias ancestors and Bridgets. If there is a site with further ancestry. I’d love to see it. Thank you Brian.
