HYPOTHESIS WARNING;

There are several John Jacksons in the locality and not all are registered in every relevant census consistently. John Hargreaves Jackson, probably named after his mother's family, seems to disappear entirely after baptism, whereas John Heyworth Jackson appears consistently in censuses (except 1851) but has no baptism. This is all linked to the existence of a niece, Ellen Jackson, in the 1891 census whose father (George Jackson), by implication, shares the same parent as John H Jackson. Presently I have no explanation for why John would change or use a different middle name.

I am satisfied that theHargreaves connection has sufficient grounds to be added to this tree with a warning so that the potential link is preserved until corroborated or eliminated when more records become available. A deep study of the locality attempting to account for all local Jackson families may improve the probabilities of a correct hypothesis by elimination.
