All the information I had on her was that she married John Martin in Dublin and moved over to Liverpool with her family. It was only when I was grouping my DNA matches and came across a whole group with a Dowling connection that I realised that Ellen Doolin was, in fact, Ellen Dowling. I've identified some matches as descendants of a Jeremiah Dowling 1820, of a Hugh Dowling (m. Sally Kelly) 1807, a Finton Dowling (m. Mary Bowe) c1813 and several others. As yet, I've not managed to connect any of these people to each other nor to my Ellen but there must be a connection somewhere. I'm hoping your research may help me find a link. Kind regards Lois.,

The Jeremiah Dowling family are in Kansas, Hugh Dowling's son Edward 1841 emigrated to New York and the Mary Ann Dowling who married Thomas Reilly are in Illinois. I've also added my link back to Ellen Dowling. I'll ask my contact Corinne Oddy to get in contact with you, she descended from Finton Dowling/Mary Bowe.
