D. Jane Jenkinson, 86, peacefully went to meet her Lord on September 14, 2012, from Pueblo, Colorado after a long struggle with respiratory issues.

She was born in Stevensville, MT on June 12, 1926 to Fred and Ruby Dowling who preceded her. Later the family moved to Oklahoma, and to Port Orchard, Oregon. She graduated from high school in Oakland, California.

Jane met David Jenkinson when her family was living at a boarding house in the Oakland Hills. David went off to war in the Philippines but when he got back they married in 1946.

Both Jane and Dave took classes at the Bible school associated with Elim Tabernacle and the John K Hubbard, in Oakland, California. Dave continued his education further at airline mechanics school in the Bay area.
In 1952 Jane and Dave moved to Anchorage, Alaska with their first 3 children. It was not until 1968 before they moved again, for employment reasons. They lived near Dave's work at the airports in Salt Lake City, Denver, Honolulu and San Francisco. They retired to the Oregon seacoast at first; later they followed their children back to the Front Range of Colorado.
During her lifetime, Jane was active in her church, worked outside her home at times, was an artist in various media, played the violin, piano and organ-and dulcimers her husband made. She raised four children, making sure they knew the Lord Jesus Christ. She also sacrificed to make sure her children had music lessons. Jane and Dave, through their example, encouraged their children to enjoy making things with their hands.
Jane is survived by four children, Janet (Pastor BJ) Worthen, Jeri Jenkinson, John (Joan) Jenkinson, and Joan (Dr. James Dennis) Musick, nine grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. Other family members live in various states, mostly on the West Coast.
The family wishes to give a special staff thank you to Dr. John Kunstle and his to the staff of University Park Care Center, who gave her excellent care. Thanks to each of you who has brightened Jane's life, and ours, with your prayers and friendship.
A memorial gathering will be held in Pueblo, Colorado a time and place still to be determined. Cremation is taking place per her request.

D. Jane Jenkinson, 86, passed away on Sept. 14, 2012, in Pueblo, Colo. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. John Kunstle and to the staff of University Park Care Center for the excellent care she received.
