mouth, K.C., MO. Was 62 years old when he died. At one time was rate clerk for the CB&Q railroad. Died early on a Tuesday. Was manager of the
western division of Mid-Continent Petroleum Company from 1922 until his
death. Left Burlington, IA in 1917 to join Riley Penn Oil Company in
Kansas City. Was a member of Mary Magdeline Catholic Church in Omaha and the Knights of Columbus. Had one grandson and several nieces and nephews
at the time of this death. Services held at Mary Magdalene Church in
Omaha on Thursday, March 29, 1951. Committal services at 10AM Friday in
Sacred Heart Cemetery, Burlington, IA. Cortege left Prugh's Chapel at
9:45 AM in Burlington to go the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Rosary recited at 7:30 PM on March 29, 1951 by the Knights of Columbus and other friends.
Died at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha.Lived at 5420 Decatur, Omaha, at the
time of his death. Cause of death was Rheumatic heart disease. Funeral
director was John A. Gentleman Mortuary. Body arrived in Burlington late
Thursday afternoon, March 29. Was in failing health last few years before his death. Per 1929 K.C., MO City Directory he was manager at
Mid-Cont. Pet. Corportation, and lived at 2 East Dartmouth Road.

to John and Mary Jordan Dowling. Baptized on Nov. 11, 1888 at St. Patrick's Church in Burlington, IA. Sponsors were John Hayes and Elizabeth Nash. Clergyman was Jno. J. O'Brian. 1910 Burlington City
Directory - was living on South 7th Sts, age 21, born in IA, billing clerk at a freight office. Was living with Mary Dowling at this time.
Also a lodger Daisy Dwin lived with them.

1880 U.S. census indicates he was living in Burlington, IA at age 35 on
Patterson Street. Also listed were his wife Mary and 6 children:
Mary, age 14; John, age 12; Alice, age 9; Richard, age 7; Morris or
Maurice, age 4; Julia, age 1. The first 3 children were born in IL and
the rest in IA. Is buried in North 6th Street Catholic Cemetery in
Burlington, IA. Was living at 1404 Plank Street in Burlington, IA at the
time of his son James' birth in 1888. Buried on Nov. 9, 1922. Received
all sacrements. Died at St. Francis Hospital in Burlington, IA. Under-
taker was B.A. Prugh & Son. Death occurred at 2:20 P.M. On November 8,
1882 was comitted to the Iowa Hospital for the Insane in Mt. Pleasant, IA. Was living at the Alms house in Burlington in 1920; his age was
stated as 77 (from 1920 U.S. Census; NOTE; Age is in error). He was 76
years, 10 months, 22 days at his death. First admitted to Mt. Pleasant
Hospital 11/21/1882 - 3/17/1883; 2nd admission 10/18/1890 - 1/6/1891; 3rd
admission 1/11/1892 - 11/13/1919.

In the late 1940's or early 1950's she lived with her sister Allie and
Allie's son-in-law John Gross. Julia broke her hip as she was being
evacuated during the 1951 flood in Kansas City. Was living in Kansas City, MO at the time of her brother James' death in 1951. Baptized Aug. 16, 1878 at St. Patrick's Church, Burlington, IA by Kinsella. Sponsors
were Denis Foley and Emma Muckensturms(?). Funeral purchased by John M.
Beverlin and Mrs. Chas. H. McMillan (Rose Mary Beverlin) on June 2 or 3,
1965. Paid for in full on June 17, 1965. Total cost was $667.85.

Died at 10:30 AM at her home at 908 Oak Street in Burlington, IA. Came to Burlington as a child. Member of St. John's Catholic Church and the
Altar Society and was a former member of the Women's Catholic League at
at time of her death. Her death followed a long illness. Had made her
home for the 9 years preceding her death with her daughter, Mrs. John
Kuster. Funeral services were held at St. John's Catholic Church in
Burlington on Tuesday, April 26, 1938 at 9AM. Cortege left her residence
at 8:45 AM. Buried in St. John's Cemetery (? see above). Her body was
moved from her home to Prugh's chapel and back to her home on the day of
her death. 1910 Burlington City Directory - widow with 2 children, 2
living.

Henretta, daughter Bessie, and mother-in-law Martha Davis. Died prior to

PROBABLY A RELATIVE BECAUSE OF HIS RESIDENCE IN DES MOINES SO CLOSE TO
MARY JORDAN DOWLING AND JULIA DOWLING BEVERLIN.
