31 March 2026:- Total 55,305 including living. Some New York and Laois records looking for a Sylvester Dowling.

30 March 2026:- Total 55,288 including living. An 1880 census added for New jersey.  Always more to do.

29 March 2026:- Total 55,276 including living.  Sunday Double Back-Up (its all backed-up daily but on Sunday I back-up off-site).  Received a nice email from New York that pointed me at some notes I took down 26 years ago, so I am off reviewing that family as well.  At the time I found very little but I have now at least identified the line in the USA which is new.

28 March 2026:- Total 55,267 including living.  Added a family of Dowlings that lay hidden as Dowland in Hampshire.  Some old baptisms and marriages.

27 March 2026:- Total 55,250 including living.  A few entries today for Hampshire, with a good merge to reduce numbers.

26 March 2026:- Total 55,249 including living.  A few entries today for Hampshire despite a lovely day in the garden.

25 March 2026:- Total 55,244 including living.  Busy today and only tweaked a few existing sources and marked-up and On-line Repository Assistant template.

24 March 2026:- Total 55,244 including living.  Working with a software error today.  Its a big database and technical issues pop up.

23 March 2026:- Total 55,244 including living. Busy in garden today but managed a few records and some time on an elusive Sussex subject.

22 March 2026:- Total 55,234 including living. Sunday Double Back Up.  A few updates on the family with the album below from Sussex, England.

21 March 2026:- Total 55,216 including living.  Interesting message, via Ancestry.com, someone has acquired a photo album of a Dowling in the Study.  I have given the line in Sussex a quick review - there doesn't seem to be any obvious offspring.

20 March 2026:- Total 55,213 including living. A good few sources for people already in the Study.  Busy, busy.

19 March 2026:- Total 55,211 including living. A little hunting for a marriage in between preparing my garden shed for painting!  Yes, life doesn't stop for genealogy.

18 March 2026:- Total 55,208 including living. Some Wiltshire censuses relating to Hampshire... busy in garden.

17 March 2026:- Total 55,207 including living. A quick diversion to Chicago for some censuses.

16 March 2026:- Total 55,204 including living. A merge and some Hampshire  censuses for elimination purposes.

15 March 2026:- Total 55,198 including living. Sunday Double Back Up. A few sources for existing people but mostly out and about.

14 March 2026:- Total 55,196 including living.  Busy with garden today so just a few peripheral non-Dowling's to fathom where some Dowling's are in 1881!

13 March 2026:- Total 55,190 including living. More sources for existing people in Devon from that Hampshire branch.

12 March 2026:- Total 55,189 including living. All sources for existing people today with a double-check to make sure I got yesterday's tricksy census right.

11 March 2026:- Total 55,189 including living. Two censuses from Hampshire but a lot of work tracking the mixed individuals in one household.  One merge.

10 March 2026:- Total 55,190 including living. Reviewing previous entries in Australia and Hampshire, England.  I think some sources way-back were just noted in passing while researching another branch rather than formally recorded with references which I am doing now.  While I don't think the line will go further back I am hoping for a join with another branch.

9 March 2026:- Total 55,188 including living.  Following correspondence, reviewing a Hampshire to Australia line which is one of the oldest documented lines in the Study.  Not checked since 2020 so a good time for a review and add some supplementary sources.

8 March 2026:- Total 55,182 including living. Sunday Double Back Up. A lot of 'source tidying today with a few additions in Somerset and Dorset.

7 March 2026:- Total 55,172 including living. Mostly sources for existing people in Somerset.

6 March 2026:- Total 55,166 including living. 

5 March 2026:- Total 55,164 including living.  Mostly sources for existing people.

4 March 2026:- Total 55,161 including living.  Censuses in Cheshire with some birth, marriage, death index entries.

3 March 2026:- Total 55,155 including living.  Censuses in Hampshire and Lancashire, following up a probate record sheet.

2 March 2026:- Total 55,146 including living. Some more census additions in Hampshire.  Being very careful as there are George Dowlings with similar dates of birth which means a lot of double checking with both of them.

1 March 2026:- Total 55,138 including living.  Sunday Single Back Up.  Just one census as busy with other things today.

28 February 2026:- Total 55,131 including living.  Had a probate page on one of yesterday's sources and those pages contain more than one unrelated Dowling, so, temporarily, I am off down a rabbit hole adding the other Dowling's on the page to the Study with enough to connect them.  Later I can go back to the original target but if I leave them completely they get forgotten.
