30 November 2025:- Total 54,508.  Sunday Double Back Up.  Still engaged in some home DIY which I am not so good at...  I always injury myself somehow!

28 November 2025:- Total 54,506.  Related non-Dowlings in Essex.  Engaged in some home DIY which I am finding more difficult as I get older so may be busy over the next few days.

26 November 2025:- Total 54,499.  Not much today, busy with Christmas coming!

25 November 2025:- Total 54,488. Some related non-Dowlings in Essex, England.

23 November 2025:- Total 54,471.  Sunday Double Back Up.  Lots more baptisms and marriages in Wiltshire... back to 1600 although it get mirky there.  They did not include the mother on baptisms!  Not just unhelpful for genealogists but awfully dismissive of the one had the most to do with giving birth!

22 November 2025:- Total 54,448.  More from Berkshire and Wiltshire with these Dowlings going back to early 1700's maybe, over the next few days, the 1600's.

21 November 2025:- Total 54,436.  Mostly sources for existing people in Berkshire and Wiltshire.  A few tricky people... young children who are born and die between censuses and their births show no mothers.  I cannot afford to buy every certificate for every Dowling so I'll have to get my best genealogy sudoku logic working.

20 November 2025:- Total 54,416.  Mostly sources for existing people.

19 November 2025:- Total 54,413.  More from Wilshire today, census and parish records.

18 November 2025:- Total 54,388.  Added some Dowlings in Berkshire, England following the availability of an old photo... it appears its not the family in the photo (in Aldershot) but at least I have eliminated them.  Busy today getting rid of old non-genealogical interests... all part of my preparation for 'shuffling off this mortal coil'.  Eventually this will lead to a retirement from family history possibly by 2030, I have been at this for decades and Dowlings have had their chance to contact me.  It would be nice to hand the database over to a younger Dowling but, again, prospective collators have had decades to get involved.  The first One-Name Study change will be when I stop taking new correspondence unless it pertains to a correction, that is to say, no new additions.  I am considering when that will be.

17 November 2025:- Total 54,385.  Finished adding some Dublin directory names and a Branches tree for correspondent Oriel who sent some useful work.

16 November 2025:- Total 54,362.  Sunday Double Back Up.  Added some Dowlings from a Post Office Directory today... I was initially looking for just one person but one thing about a One-Name Study is that when I find several Dowlings on one document they must all be collated.  It slows me down initially but a large number of additions use the same Source and Source Image so it's economical.  With most documents its lucky to get a second Dowling on a page but with trade directories it can be 30 plus with very sparse detail.

15 November 2025:- Total 54,342.  Just a few sources, mostly for existing people in Dublin.  Busy with other stuff these days, battening-down the hatches for winter and preparing for Yuletide.

13 November 2025:- Total 54,339.  Following another Dowling family living very near another Dublin family subject of a correspondent's line.

12 November 2025:- Total 54,327.  Two entries for existing people and some source refurbishing for same line.  WhatsApp call with researcher in Ireland.

11 November 2025:- Total 54,325 including living.  Just a couple of hard to find people in Dublin just popped up today.  Busy with other stuff.

10 November 2025:- Total 54,322 including living.  Mostly adding and refurbishing sources for existing people in Dublin and Kent.

9 November 2025:- Total 54,322 including living. Sunday Double Back Up.  Today mostly refurbishing some old sources for a Dowling family with Laois-Dublin-Kent locations.  Years ago I was uncomfortable I remember leaving a John Dowling with some confused deaths to the point I doubted the double marriage and years later it still doesn't feel right, so more digging to do.

8 November 2025:- Total 54,316 including living.  A few more and merge from Carlow, so some simplification.  New email in from a Dowling family having a reunion next Easter... It would be nice to support that where I can and maybe update their line at the same time.

7 November 2025:- Total 54,311 including living.  More Carlow records with Carrolls and Dowlings.  I don't want to do full family searches for every non-Dowling whoever lived but this tactic certainly helps in getting a grip of candidates for hard-to-find people.

6 November 2025:- Total 54,297 including living.  More Carlow records with Carrolls and Dowlings, with some unravelling.

5 November 2025:- Total 54,286 including living. Lots more Carrol's, some with a Dowling link but others to deal with correspondence.  While I think I have tracked one difficult person, the critical link is still not in a currently available record.

4 November 2025:- Total 54,259 including living. Continuing to find why the Carroll correspondent thought she had the family tree brick wall, a genuinely elusive family.  Before I stop and wait for the next Irish census I'll just check Leighlinbridge Carlow again.

3 November 2025:- Total 54,255 including living. Added a little detail from Carroll correspondent, with a lovely heirloom of an Army Pay Book, and a marriage but this is one of those lines that needs a new census release to shed, hopefully, a little more light.

2 November 2025:- Total 54,254 including living. Sunday Double Back Up.   Spent much of today looking and not finding on this Carroll family.  I'll try for some more information from the correspondent or will have to examine candidates in the USA.

1 November 2025:- Total 54,254 including living. Working on some Carroll's at present for a correspondent, it's a very tricksy challenge as the family seem to avoid registration!

28 October 2025:- Total 54,239 including living. Added some Welsh Dowlings and after lots of hunting found, in a school attendance record, that they went to Australia.
