2025 April

30 April 2025:- Total 52,371 including living. An email with some death information on English Dowlings gave an excuse to change focus.  This information allowed the person to show on the website as up to this point I thought she could still be living.  Refurbished some sources while reviewing the family and added two censuses.

29 April 2025:- Total 52,363 including living. Some more Dooly, Georgia census entries.  Everything Dowling now from 1850 to 1880 has been extracted from that county.  Still waiting on a reply from a correspondent before changing tac.

28 April 2025:- Total 52,344 including living.  Two merges of people who transpired to be identical in Georgia (reducing the numbers by two).

27 April 2025:- Total 52,346 including living. Sunday Single Back Up.

26 April 2025:- Total 52,346 including living. More from Dooly County in Georgia... in fact everything D??l?n* for the 1860 and 1870 censuses.

25 April 2025:- Total 52,320 including living. Just a census entry today... busy, busy, busy.

24 April 2025:- Total 52,315 including living.  A couple of entries only on a busy day visiting my sister.

23 April 2025:- Total 52,312 including living.  Multiple mixed entries today mostly on the Alabama US Dowling Family of the South. 

22 April 2025:- Total 52,296 including living.  Multiple mixed entries today mostly on the US Dowling Family of the South.  They have needed reviewing for a while now.

21 April 2025:- Total 52,261 including living. Find a Grave entries... lost time shopping today.

20 April 2025:- Total 52,252 including living. Sunday Single Back Up.  Added some more Dowlings in full and some frameworks based on some Find a Grave pages and census entries.  Framework entries are not full and normally reserved for non-Dowlings who are related somehow to Dowlings, otherwise I would end up detailing the entire population rather than run a Dowling One-Name Study... its a focus thing!

19 April 2025:- Total 52,208 including living.  Some extra descendants added to existing people in Alabama.  Every time I think I have finished one webpage it seems to provide a clue to several more possibilities.  Also managed some gardening and a long walk.

18 April 2025:- Total 52,177 including living.  Joined one family to another in Alabama today.  Actually it is long overdue but my excuse is there are just so many Dowlings its difficult to focus on them all. Very satisfying.  Also found a black Dowling family amidst the white Dowlings in 1870 in Alabama.  Its easy to get involved in conjecture but presently no hard-and-fast facts of what the relationship actually is.

17 April 2025:- Total 52,164 including living. Mostly sources for existing people in Alabama.

16 April 2025:- Total 52,154 including living. A lot of additions of related non-Dowlings added in a framework (name vital dates only) this is for sorting out a Holman family that married into two different branches of Dowlings.

15 April 2025:- Total 52,093 including living.  Mixed day with some US Find a Grave entries in support of another potential merge of to individuals.

14 April 2025:- Total 52,087 including living.  Some more Alabama census entries, mostly for existing people and finally linked this line to a Dowlings of the South branch with one merge.  All good.  Two new queries arrived today and I must start on them.

13 April 2025:- Total 52,075 including living. Sunday Single Back Up.  Still on a family in Alabama... not done yet.

12 April 2025:- Total 52,068 including living. I looked again at an old Dowlings of the World entry where the Dowling had left me precious little information back in the early naughties.  I believe I have managed to find something on the line so some Alabama Dowlings were added.  More to do.  However distracted by Mrs Dowling and shopping today.

10 April 2025:- Total 52,055 including living. More New York Dowlings but lost of distraction with house decorating.  I don't know how I found the time years ago when I worked full-time as well.  As you get older your internal clock runs faster.

8 April 2025:- Total 52,045 including living. The number left is the same but a good piece of work merged 6 people from New York finally with six others from Kilkenny... it took a good while but merges are worth celebrating.  I then added another 6 people from New York.  Great day and some gardening too.

7 April 2025:- Total 52,045 including living.  More Kilkenny baptisms.  I am hunting for a Muldowney connection and, when I find one, if there is another Dowling on the page, I record that one too.  So it all takes time.  Also the garden is really coming alive, so mowed my lawn again today.  Busy bus.

6 April 2025:- Total 52,034 including living.  Sunday Single Back Up.  More baptisms from Kilkenny, I had stacked them up yesterday... this is like a distraction.  I am looking for one thing but end up collecting other Dowlings initially for elimination purposes... a bit like a rabbit hole away from my original quest.  I end up with lots of internet tabs that need tidying up.

5 April 2025:- Total 52,010 including living.  Hunting in Kilkenny today... didn't find what I was after but added three families.

4 April 2025:- Total 52,000 including living. So hit the 52k mark today with some Birmingham Dowlings adding another branch to an existing dynasty.

3 April 2025:- Total 51,990 including living. Some refurbished sources with some more people added to those lines... mostly UK today.

2 April 2025:- Total 51,972 including living.  Some New York work with a hard-won link from a US Civil War vet who served with Ulysses S Grant to Ireland.  Busy day.

1 April 2025:- Total 51,948 including living. Monthly Double Remote Back Up. Some Pennsylvania and New York  entries and a refurbished source.

31 March 2025:- Total 51,938 including living.  Lots of searching and not finding in various US states.
