   Doolan Ancestry in County Laois
   The information I have on my Doolan ancestry comes from census returns, church records and civil records. My Doolan ancestors arrived in County Durham in the mid 1860s and I traced them before this to Clough parish,Co.Kilkenny in the late 1850s.
   Patrick Doolan (born c.1830) married Maria Muldowney (born.1836)in the late 1850s.I can’t discover what date but the first child is Anne. Born 05/06/1859 to Patrick Dooley & Margt Muldowney(see attached) sponsors John Muldowney & Anne Dooley, at Cloneen.
   The second child was Thomas, born 12/08/1861 to Patrick Dowling & Mary Muldowney(see attached) sponsors Thomas Barber & Ellen Dowling, at Crettyard.
   The third child was Michael , born on 18/02/1864 to Patrick Dowling & Mary Muldowney(see attached) sponsors Pat Shortall & Ally Ryan, at Cloneen.
   The fourth child was Elizabeth born in 1865 in Crook, Co.Durham, as were the rest of the children.
   Patrick Doolan appeared to have a brother Thomas Doolan(born c.1841) married wife Mary,but I can’t find their marriage. By 1881 Thomas appears to be a widow and he lived in Co.Durham until 1912. Patrick Doolan died in 1882.
   I can’t discover anything about the Muldowney origins except that a member of my family belives that they came from Crettyard?
   Any help would be appreciated.

   Doolan Ancestry in County Laois
   The information I have on my Doolan ancestry comes from census returns, church records and civil records. My Doolan ancestors arrived in County Durham in the mid 1860s and I traced them before this to Clough parish,Co.Kilkenny in the late 1850s.
   Patrick Doolan (born c.1830) married Maria Muldowney (born.1836)in the late 1850s.I can’t discover what date but the first child is Anne. Born 05/06/1859 to Patrick Dooley & Margt Muldowney(see attached) sponsors John Muldowney & Anne Dooley, at Cloneen.

   The third child was Michael , born on 18/02/1864 to Patrick Dowling & Mary Muldowney(see attached) sponsors Pat Shortall & Ally Ryan, at Cloneen.
   The fourth child was Elizabeth born in 1865 in Crook, Co.Durham, as were the rest of the children.
   Patrick Doolan appeared to have a brother Thomas Doolan(born c.1841) married wife Mary,but I can’t find their marriage. By 1881 Thomas appears to be a widow and he lived in Co.Durham until 1912. Patrick Doolan died in 1882.
   I can’t discover anything about the Muldowney origins except that a member of my family belives that they came from Crettyard?
   Any help would be appreciated.

   Doolan Ancestry in County Laois
   The information I have on my Doolan ancestry comes from census returns, church records and civil records. My Doolan ancestors arrived in County Durham in the mid 1860s and I traced them before this to Clough parish,Co.Kilkenny in the late 1850s.
   Patrick Doolan (born c.1830) married Maria Muldowney (born.1836)in the late 1850s.I can’t discover what date but the first child is Anne. Born 05/06/1859 to Patrick Dooley & Margt Muldowney(see attached) sponsors John Muldowney & Anne Dooley, at Cloneen.
   The second child was Thomas, born 12/08/1861 to Patrick Dowling & Mary Muldowney(see attached) sponsors Thomas Barber & Ellen Dowling, at Crettyard.
