I have the following lineage, some of which I am fairly certain is incorrect. Would appreciate help in getting these families sorted out.
PARNETTA DOOLIN m. as his 2d wife, VINCENT GARNER, SR., b. 1771, NC, d. 22 May 1851, Pulaski Co., KY. Parnetta married Vincent Garner, but I don't think this is the right Vincent Garner.

PARNETTA DOOLIN, b. 1816, d. 11 Nov 1852, d/o DANIEL DOOLIN and NANCY KNOX. I have Nancy Knox as the daughter of JOHN KNOX and ELIZABETH EOFF. Nancy is not listed among their children in any source I have found. If the ages of John Knox and Elizabeth Eoff at the date of their marriage are correct, Elizabeth Eoff would have been 9 years old when Nancy was born. (Assuming that Nancy's birthdate is correct.)

DANIEL DOOLIN, b. 1779, d. 1820, s/o JAMES DOOLIN and NANCY ELGIN. JAMES DOOLIN, b. 9 May 1755, Stafford Co., VA, d. 1814/15, Pulaski Co., KY, s/o EDWARD of Truro Parish, VA, s/o WILLIAM.

Hello, Just found the names of my g-g-g-grandparents: James CARR married Ann DOOLING, and gave birth to John Henry Carr c. 1834 in Ireland (maybe Dublin?). John H. Carr immigrated at some point to the Boston, MA area, and married Teresa Daly. John died in Topsfield, MA in 1893. Appreciate any info on the DOOLING surname... could it be a misspelling of Dowling, or Dooley?

Citation Detail: ---GenForum Message---; Margaret McLeod Dowling (b. 1853) ; Posted by: Stephen D. McLeod Date: October 03, 1999 at 16:32:25 ; E-mail: email address; My great grandfather, Capt. Charles Harrington McLeod (b. 1840), had a sister, Maggie (b. 1853), who married Capt. W. T. Dowling. They had a son (perhaps grandson?), Dr. Sam? Dowling, who lived in Santa Cruz, California. My last information on Maggie McLeod Dowling is that she was living with her son in Santa Cruz, California during WWII. My mother says she must have been 90 years old at the time. Maggie McLeod was born in Cleveland, Richmond County, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Her parents were John McLeod (b. 1808) and Juliet Ann Grant. My grandfather, Capt. John Daniel McLeod (b. 1873), went to sea with Capt. Dowling as a teenager. Capt. Charlie was Maggie's half brother. His mother's name was Margaret McKean. I am willing to share any information I have about the family. Stephen D. McLeod; 3001 Leeds Manor Road; Markham, Virginia 22643-1712,
