You are on the ground floor of the main hall looking west at the internal east-facing wall. You can see a deep fireplace with a further recess for the peat-fire, no doubt with a flu in the shadows. There is a deep opening to the right. Above the fireplace are deep holes that appear to have been for timber joists that may have supported the ceiling. There appears to be the remains of some plastering above that floor level. There appears to be some joist holes just above ground level for timbers to support a suspended floor.
You can look forward/left at a fireplace, turn left to look south, go back into the north -east tower or turn right to go out of the north exit.
