| You are on the 2nd floor. This was probably an area fully rooved with timber frames and tiles or thatch although the latter is unlikely in a defensive situation. Today it heavily overgrown with vegetation you see this garderobe, or toilet, against the east wall. Next time you see the outside of the east wall you will notice how this section overhangs the wall. This is an illustration from another castle rather than the actual Clonreher 'convenience'. Now please wash you hands! You can go forward carefully or back down the stairs. |
