You are at the ground level looking West at the East side of the castle.  This picture is a close-up taken from the 1939 picture as today the entrance has been obstructed by a cattle press.  In front of you, you can see that inside the doorway your access turns immediately to the left.

You can go forward, backwards and left around the building.  You can go right and find another opening in through the north-east tower.
